Lost wages per week?
|
|
|
|
NB. This table does not include extra costs for family which would add around $500 to $800 per month in additional food and living costs, without schooling, health, dental etc. In this table, all costs are monthly expenses for one person (except for the airfares).
Typical costs would involve adding the airfare, motel, bus/tram, internet cafe and broadband costs to food, phone and entertainment.
The cost of finding your own work (for a person from the UK) would be around A$13,590 for a 3 month search - before adding in any wages not being earned in the home country!
That might add another $14,000 for 13 weeks lost income for an average UK wage, giving a total of $27,590 to come to Australia and hunt for employment! Add in the visa fees, medical, skills tests, police certificates, migration advice....
There must be a faster, cheaper and better way to do it. And there is!
The Hire A Migrant service fee is around one month’s average pay In Australia.
If we can find a job offer for a client just one month faster than they can find by themselves, they will not only save a great deal of money but also a huge amount of stress.
Work out your own costs:
- Start with the table above to get an Australian living cost.
- Add in your lost wages for a set period, converted to Australian dollars.
- Add in the cost of running a second household in another country until your family can move and be together, converted to Australian dollars.
- Write that total down, and
- Subtract the Hire A Migrant service fee of $5500.
- The larger number that is left is your cost saving if you employ Hire A Migrant to assist you in your employment search in Australia.
